Westways Wildflowers

Westways Wildflowers is a true wildflower farm where visitors can drive around a 15km 4WD loop, get out and walk among the wildflowers, smell the fragrances and take as many pictures as you please or spend the day painting as some people did recently.

Clive and Maureen pick, pack and preserve thousands of bunches of Australian natives each year – primarily for export to Japan.

They designed the 4WD track in consultation with a native flower expert volunteer at Kings Park Botanic gardens, who identified over 200 varieties of native wildflowers at the property, and mapped the loop, which traverses four different soil types.

The self-drive tour costs $10 and campers are welcome. “The blokes love the opportunity to go four-wheel driving in the bush and the ladies love the flowers,” says Clive. “It’s a pretty good combination.”

The Westways Self Drive 4WD Wildflower Tour

The tour takes you off the beaten track and onto a series of safe but challenging 4wd tracks as you wind and weave through the stunning wildflowers.

The Westways 4wd wildflower tour will guide you on a breathtaking journey through the best wildflower blooms and native Flora and Fauna that Western Australia has to offer. Not only will you see stunning wildflowers but the property is teaming with native birds, Kangaroos and the occasional Emu.

The wildflower tour also offers a spectacular panoramic view of the historic Yalallie Meteorite Crater. With plenty of shady spots for a picnic it’s a great day out for the whole family.
