Founded in 1995, the Moore Catchment Council is a Not-for-profit organisation focusing on the protection and enhancement of the Moore River.

The Moore River catchment covers 1.38 million hectares and extends from Coorow and Latham in the North, down to Guilderton and as far east as Bolgart which includes the Shires of Gingin,  Dandaragan, Coorow, Victoria Plains, Moora,  Dalwallinu, Carnamah and Perenjori.

The Council group is supported by, Federal and State government agencies, Iluka, Northern Agricultural Catchments Council, Shire Councils and donations.
