What trade suits you? 
This program is designed to give you an introduction to a trade career, this two day workshop is a hands on tour through carpentry, – perfect for those exploring a trade as a career or for the curious!

What will I learn?
Delivered by specialist trainers with over 16 years construction industry experience, participants can find out if a carpentry or bricklaying is right for them. Students get to work on real-life projects in a simulated construction environment. Our hands-on, engaging learning experience includes:

  • an introduction to the basics of carpentry
  • understanding OHS standards, toolbox meetings and site signage
  • learning about workplace behaviour, verbal communication, and workplace expectations
  • identifying hazards and undertaking risk assessments
  • organising, planning and prioritising work tasks.
